Books Training Other Riding/Training
Beyond the Track - Retraining the Thoroughbred from Racehorse to Riding Horse revised ed., by Anna Morgan Ford This is one of the best books I’ve seen on reschooling racehorses; the author discusses training the racehorse is likely to have had and how he is likely to respond to a different sort of riding or handling. For instance, the track thoroughbred is not likely to be used to cross-tying, being accustomed to being single-tied in his stall. Paperback, 252 pages
