Although this fantasy was written for teenagers, our staff found it engaging as well, much as many adults enjoyed the Harry Potter series just as much as – if not more than – their offspring. You’ll find it hard to believe it was written by a seventeen-year-old! The story centers around a teenager with certain supernatural abilities and a legacy of danger to her and her kin. She and animals can converse mentally, which helps considerably when the evil Brotherhood kidnap her parents while she is out. Two of her friends, her cat, and several dogs accompany her on her horseback foray to rescue her parents.
