Respiratory Disease by Peter Gray, MVB, MRCVS
More detailed and technical than Dr. Ramey's Concise Guide, Dr. Gray, who is British, is also a drier read. He too begins with chapters on the anatomy and physiology of the respiratory system, with line drawings, then discusses defense against disease, diseased respiratory systems, investigation of infectious respiratory diseases, diagnosis, treatment and management, specific virus diseases, bacterial, fungal and parasitic lung disease, non-infectious lung disease, conditions of the pharynx and larynx, and environmental influences which may lead to problems.
