Classical Schooling with the Horse in Mind, by Anja Beran
As might be expected, many of the photographs in this book are of horses of the Baroque conformation: Andalusians and Lusitanos. But there are also warmbloods and even a Haflinger shown at piaffe. The methods work for any breed, and those methods are gentle gymnastics. What is so beautiful is that you will not see hollow horses in these pages; horses maintain their head carriage without a deathgrip on the reins cranking them into false collection. She studied with Nuno Oliveira in Portugal and Marc de Broissia in her homeland of Germany, and now trains horses from all over. Illustrated with color photos and line drawings by several artists.
